Celluma Pro at Elemental Wellness
We are excited to announce that we now have the Celluma Pro phototherapy device at our Elemental Wellness clinic in Culver City. The addition of this tool expands our healing modalities that currently include acupuncture, herbal formulas, sound therapy, moxibustion, and fire cupping. While light therapy has a broad range of applications, we’ll generally be using the device at the clinic to treat skin conditions, support anti-aging treatments, and pain management.
How it Works
The device uses light therapy–also known as low-level light therapy (LLLT) and phototherapy–to apply wavelengths of light energy to tissues which provide healing benefits for a variety of conditions, including acne and and other inflammatory skin conditions, pain management, and anti-aging. Light emitting diode (LED) therapy in general–and the Celluma line of products in particular–have been cleared by the FDA for all of these applications.
What to Expect
This versatile device can be positioned over most parts of the body–treatment of an inflamed elbow or knee, anti-aging or acne treatments on the face and head, for example–providing an effective environment for light absorption and its associated therapeutic benefits. Most users seeking the anti-aging benefits (addressing wrinkles and lines in the face) report feeling and seeing improvements in their skin in one to two sessions. However, more dramatic results occur with a protocol of three sessions per week for four weeks.
How does it Feel?
A treatment using the Celluma Pro is a time to relax. 30-minute sessions are spent seated or lying down, the warm glow of the device on the face lulling many users to sleep. It’s a great time to listen to music, a podcast, or simply have a nap. Treatments are fast, painless, and non-invasive. After, patients can immediately return to their daily activities with zero downtime.
