Ear Seeds to Increase Conception Odds
Ear seeds, also known as auricular acupuncture, are small seeds or beads placed on specific points in the ear to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes. This traditional Chinese medicine technique has been used for centuries to treat a variety of health conditions, including fertility issues in women.
There is scientific evidence to suggest that ear seeds can improve fertility in women by balancing hormones, increasing blood flow to the reproductive organs, and reducing stress.
PCOS
One study conducted in 2014 found that ear seeds were effective in increasing pregnancy rates in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a common cause of infertility. The study participants received ear seed treatment twice a week for three months, and the results showed that pregnancy rates were significantly higher in the ear seed group compared to the control group.
ENDOMETRIOSIS
Another study published in the Journal of Reproductive Medicine found that ear seeds were effective in increasing fertility in women with endometriosis, a condition in which tissue that normally lines the uterus grows outside of it. The study participants received ear seed treatment twice a week for three months, and the results showed that pregnancy rates were significantly higher in the ear seed group compared to the control group.
ANXIETY + STRESS
In addition to improving fertility, ear seeds can also help to reduce stress and anxiety, which can have a negative impact on fertility. A study published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine found that ear seeds were effective in reducing stress in women undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment. The study participants received ear seed treatment twice a week for three months, and the results showed that the ear seed group had significantly lower levels of stress and anxiety compared to the control group.
In our six-month ELEMENTAL CONCEPTION program, we conclude every acupuncture session with the placement of ear seeds to prolong the effects of the acupuncture and to boost fertility.
